Nonprofit Resources,
Inc.
About Us
Boys
and Girls Clubs; Food Pantries; Domestic Violence Shelters; Healthcare
Providers; Literacy Councils; Community Theaters; Animal Shelters,
and Early Childhood Education Programs. Healthy, vibrant nonprofit
organizations are at the center of community life. Nonprofits provide
caring citizens with avenues to work together to make life better
for everyone. The nonprofit sector in Arkansas is diverse in size
and purpose. Whether large or small, rural or urban, local or statewide,
many nonprofits struggle with the same organizational issues. Those
issues include board development, fundraising, staff/volunteer recruitment
and retention, financial management, program evaluation, and strategic
planning.
Nonprofit
Resources incorporated in 1977 and for the past twenty-five years
we have worked “to enhance the ability of Arkansas’s community-based organizations to fulfill
their missions.” Each year we provide training
to hundreds of individuals and technical assistance to many more.
Every spring we host our annual conference in Hot
Springs attracting more than 200 people,
representing 140 organizations. Our publications include a monthly
newsletter that is distributed statewide, the Arkansas Funding Directory and the Arkansas Nonprofit Handbook. By providing
training and networking opportunities to Arkansas’
nonprofit organizations we enable them to meet and even exceed
their individual goals. In contrast to nationally networked nonprofits
our primary constituents do not have access to the professional
training that they need. Our agency provides that training at
a reasonable rate, offered at various locations throughout the
state of Arkansas.
